Mr. Ward was born on August 23, 1976, in Kansas City, Kansas, and grew up in Southwest Missouri. He attended Missouri Southern State University from 1996 through 1999 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Economics and Finance. He then attended the Law School at the University of Kansas and graduated from there in 2007.

Mr. Ward is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Kansas. He is a member of the Riley County, Geary County, Kansas, and American Bar Associations.
